ABSTRACT
The comparison is carried out to test the values of long-wave solar radiation because Sri Samrong Observatory will be move to Phimai soon. It should be useful if we can find the operation model to use instead of the observation by using the calculation from some meteorological data. The radiation data in this paper is the longwave radiation which observed from pyrgeometer at Sri Samrong Observatory during 1997-2000. We investigate the pattern of long-wave solar radiation and also compare with Idso-Jason model (1969). The result found in three conditions. The first condition is dry period (January-February). The value of long-wave solar radiation is greater than the model about 100 W/m2. Meanwhile the value for the model is greater than observation about 100-200 W/m2 in the period of March-April. After July the observation values are greater than model again in such amount of 150-200 W/m2. So the bias for each condition will be investigated to put in the model.
